PT. Semen Tonasa Pangkep is the largest cement factory located in eastern Indonesia; every work process has a wide range of hazardous potential of work health and safety. The study is aimed at identifying the hazards and assessing risks of the work health and safety at Kiln and Coal Mill unit of Tonasa IV PT. Semen Tonasa Pangkep. It is a quantitative research of descriptive research design with observational approach and using the AS/NZS 4360: 2004 standard on Risk Management. The population of the study is all 100 employees working in Kiln and Coal Mill Unit of Tonasa IV PT. Semen Tonasa and taking the samples by total sampling. The result of the study reveal that at Kiln unit of Tonasa IV, the risks levels identified are very high, priority 1, substantial, priority 3, and acceptable withthe respectively percentage of 1.4%, 7.2%, 27.5%, 27.5, and 36.2%. The risks levels at the Coal Mill unit of Tonasa IV are very high, priority 1, substantial, priority 3 and acceptable with 1.7%, 5.2%, 34.4%, 20.6%, and 36.2% respectively. It is recommended for the company to socialize and disseminate regularly to increase the workers’ awareness related to the importance of work safety and health at the workplace.
