Carpal Tunner Syndrome is a work-related disorder that occurs due to repetitive movements and long-term permanent positions that affect nerves and blood circulation to hands as well as wrists. This research describes the risks of vibrations in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurrence as well as the occupational health and safety of piggyback lawn mower operators in PT. Dinar Mutiara Sakti. In investigating the issue, this research uses descriptive qualitative approach. It collects its research data through interviews, observations and FGD from 15 respondents. The research findings show thatrespondents within an age range of 20-30 years old feel the highest intensity of vibration. All respondents claim to feel the vibration, especially those who have worked as operators for less than 5 years. respondents within an age range of 20-30 years old feel the highest intensity of vibration. However, operators with more than 5-year working experience have been accustomed to the vibration and ten to ignore it. the piggyback lawn mower operators work for a duration of 8 hours daily with 10-30-minute breaks. The protective gears provided by the company are only work shoes due to cost-related excuses. The results of vibration analysis measured by using svantek human vibration meter suggest that the intensity of vibration is below threshold. Ultimately, this research concludes that age, the length of employment and protective gears contribute to the risk factors for the operators of piggyback lawn mower while work duration does not contribute to the risk factors for the operators of piggyback lawn mower in PT.
