Premature rupture of membranes refers to a pateint who experienced the premature rupture prior to the onset of labor. The rupture of membranes could be identified after one hour without a normal labor. This methodological approach taken in this research was a literature review. Therefore, intranatal midwifery care management on patients with premature rupture of membranes were invstigated based on the evidence-based research. Based on the results of the study, the tests carried out to diagnose premature rupture of membranes (PROM) are by means of USG examination. In addition, the treatments given to patients could be in the forms of cesarean section as well as prophylactic antibiotics provision on patients. The treatments were given in order to avoid further infections during labor. The evaluation of the patient's condition could be done byexamining the vital signs of her body, checking the fundal height of the uterus, checking uterine contractions, bladder, locea, perineum and bleeding. In addition, counseling must also be given to the patient regarding how to properly treat surgical scars including: how to keep the wound dry, how to avoid traditional medicines, and how to wash the wound. The patient is also encouraged to make regular visits so that the condition of the patient could be well controlled. As a concludion of this research, it was apparent that with effective treatments, the patients with the case of premature rupture of membranes could be well treated. However, they should be educated and well informed on the importance of routine pregnancy checks.
